Boosters Guide: When to Use Each One
AdminJuly 8, 202622 views
Boosters in Candy Crush Saga are valuable. Using them at the wrong time wastes them. Here's exactly when to use each.
Booster Viability
| Booster | Best Level Type | When to Use | Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lollipop Hammer | Any (remove ANY piece) | Last 2 moves on hard level | S-tier |
| Extra Moves (+5) | Move-limited levels | If you are 1-2 moves from winning | S-tier |
| Free Switch | Jelly levels | Stuck with no matches turn 1 | A-tier |
| Striped Candy | Timed levels | Start of level for fast score | B-tier |
| Coconut Wheel | Order levels | When a color is blocked | B-tier |
| Color Bomb | Ingredient levels | Paired with striped candy | A-tier |
When to Use Lollipop Hammers
The most valuable booster. Only use when:
- There is 1 jelly left and 2 moves remaining
- An ingredient is 1 move away from the exit
- You need to break a piece of candy to trigger a winning cascade
- NEVER use it on move 1 of the level "to get started"
Booster Economy
- Lollipop Hammer: Save for levels 550, 666, 800, 999 (hardest)
- Extra Moves: Only use if >50% through the level and close to winning
- Free Switch: Good for level 1-200, weak for later levels
- Daily booster wheel: Watch all 5 ads every day for free boosters
- NEVER buy boosters with gold bars (gold is for extra moves only)
The booster stacking trick: You can use a Lollipop Hammer and THEN use a Free Switch in the same turn. The Free Switch counts as a move, but the Hammer doesn't. So you can remove a problem candy AND make a move in the same turn. This 2-action trick is not explained anywhere in the game but is critical for beating the hardest levels. Practice the timing in easy levels first.
