Level 500-1000: The Ultimate Strategy Guide
AdminJuly 8, 202678 views
Levels 500 to 1000 are where Candy Crush Saga gets genuinely hard. Here's the strategy that got me past every roadblock.
Level Type Strategy
| Level Type | Win Condition | Key Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Jelly | Clear all jellies | Target bottom jellies first (gravity brings cascades) |
| Ingredients | Move ingredients down | Create striped candies on the sides |
| Timed | Score in 60 seconds | Speed + color bomb combos |
| Moves | Score in X moves | Efficiency over flashy combos |
| Order | Collect specific candies | Use fish + wrapped candies |
The Cascade Principle
90% of Candy Crush is about setting up cascades:
- Don't make moves at random on the board
- Look for moves that create new special candies after the cascade
- A move that clears 4 candies is good; a move that triggers 2+ cascades is GREAT
- The game rewards vertical matches over horizontal (more pieces fall = more cascades)
Special Candy Priority
Priority 1: Striped + Wrapped combo = cross explosion
Priority 2: Color Bomb + Striped = board-wide striped explosion
Priority 3: Color Bomb + Wrapped = massive board damage
Priority 4: Two Color Bombs = clears everything (save for final push)
Priority 5: Fish + Striped = targeted damage
The #1 mistake: Using boosters too early. In levels 500-1000, the difficulty spikes dramatically at specific levels (550, 666, 800, 999). These are "paywall" levels designed to make you buy boosters. DON'T. Instead, spend 3-5 lives learning the level's pattern, then use 1 extra move booster when you genuinely need it. The game's algorithm also gives you easier boards after 3 losses -- so losing on purpose can be strategic.
