Redstone Contraptions for Your Survival World

Redstone can automate everything in Minecraft. Here are 3 essential contraptions every survival player should build.

3 Essential Redstone Builds

Auto Chicken Farm

1. Dig a 3x1 hole
2. Place hopper at the bottom leading to a chest
3. Place a slab on top of the hopper (chicken stands here)
4. Build a 2-block high glass box around it
5. Throw eggs inside until you have 10+ chickens
6. Place a dispenser with an egg above (connected to a clock circuit)

Auto Chicken Farm Materials
- 4 glass blocks
- 1 hopper
- 1 chest
- 1 slab
- 1 dispenser
- 1 redstone repeater (for clock)
- 1 redstone dust (for clock)
- 10+ eggs (to start the farm)

SEA server note: On Minecraft Bedrock servers in SEA, redstone acts slightly differently than Java Edition. Observers fire at different timings. Always test your redstone build in creative mode first. The biggest difference: quasi-connectivity doesn't exist in Bedrock. Builds that rely on it (like Java's flying machines) need to be redesigned for Bedrock edition.
